    PM Modi Urges Swift Action for Developed India by 2047 at YUGM Conclave

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the YUGM Conclave at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on April 29, 2025, emphasizing the urgency of achieving ambitious goals for a developed India within a limited timeframe. Clarifying that his remarks were not about the present but the future, Modi outlined a 25-year roadmap to transform India into a global leader through innovation, education reform, and youth empowerment.

    Vision for a Developed India

    PM Modi reiterated the goal of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by 2047, stressing the need to accelerate the journey from ideas to prototypes. “We have limited time, and our goals are grand,” he said, urging stakeholders to reduce the gap between laboratory research and market application. Faster delivery of research outcomes to the public, he noted, would inspire further innovation.

    Emphasis on Education and Youth

    Highlighting the pivotal role of the youth, Modi underscored the importance of a robust education system. He referenced the National Education Policy (NEP) and the development of new textbooks for classes 1 to 10 as steps toward preparing future generations. “A nation’s future depends on its youth, and their readiness hinges on quality education,” he stated.

    Collaborative Innovation for Progress

    The YUGM Conclave brought together leaders from government, academia, science, and research, embodying the spirit of “YUGM” (collaboration). Modi emphasized that collective efforts are key to achieving India’s aspirations. He cited advancements like the 422-meter Hyperloop developed by IIT Madras as a testament to India’s growing research capabilities across sectors.

    Call for Selfless Service

    Quoting Indian scriptures, Modi said, “The one who dedicates their life to serving others truly lives.” He urged attendees to channel their efforts toward national development, reinforcing that the confluence of diverse stakeholders at the conclave represents the foundation for a developed India.
