Amit Shah Furious After Pahalgam Terror Attack, Issues Stern Warning and Major Security Directives
“The culprits will not be spared under any circumstances,” says Home Minister
New Delhi – In the wake of the brutal terror attack in Pahalgam, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the site and sent a strong, unequivocal message: India will never bow before terrorism. Paying homage to the martyred security personnel at the Baisaran area, Shah vowed that the perpetrators of this heinous act would face the harshest punishment.
During his visit, Shah reviewed the security situation on the ground, interacting with local administration and security forces. Earlier in Srinagar, he met with the grieving families of the civilian victims. The emotionally charged meeting saw heart-wrenching scenes, as families broke down and pleaded for justice in front of the Home Minister.
Social Media Tribute and Government Compensation
Taking to social media platform X, Shah wrote, “With a heavy heart, I pay my respects to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. India shall never kneel before terror. The perpetrators of this barbaric act will not be spared under any circumstances.”
The Jammu and Kashmir government has announced financial aid of ₹10 lakh for the families of the deceased. Those seriously injured will receive ₹2 lakh, while those with minor injuries will be given ₹1 lakh. Authorities have also pledged full support for the rehabilitation and medical treatment of the victims.
PM Modi Cuts Foreign Trip Short, Holds Emergency Meeting
Underlining the gravity of the situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi cut short his visit to Saudi Arabia and returned to India immediately. Upon arrival in Delhi, he chaired a high-level emergency security meeting at the airport itself. The meeting was attended by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and the Foreign Secretary.
Clear Instructions to Security Agencies
Following his visit, Shah issued strict directives to security agencies. He ordered intensified operations to track down and neutralize the attackers and called for enhanced security arrangements to protect civilians in the region. “No stone will be left unturned in safeguarding our nation and our people,” he declared.
This strong governmental response signals a no-tolerance approach to terrorism and aims to reassure the public of the Centre’s unwavering commitment to national security.
