Was it right for Anurag to say such things in anger?

Was it right for Anurag to say such things in anger?

People like Priyanka Chaturvedi and Manoj Muntashir believe that Anurag’s anger,
even if provoked, does not justify targeting the entire community. The excuse of
‘forgetting decorum in anger’ is being considered weak, as it has stirred ethnic
    sensitivity.

Support: Some people, like @neeraj_jhaa, believe that Anurag’s reaction was
human and provoked by the trolls. His intention was to criticize hypocrisy, not to
hurt feelings, but the choice of words was wrong.

Public Opinion: Most people are condemning Anurag on social media. Users like
@AnmolAShukla consider his comments to be ‘toxic’ and say that he has insulted a
community that contributes to Indian culture. Some view this as selective outrage,
as there is silence when others make similar comments.

Did Anurag play with people’s feelings?
Yes, intentionally : Payal Ghosh and Gehna Vasisth have alleged that Anurag
defamed Brahmins to draw attention to his film ‘Phule’. The timing of his comment,
when the film was struggling with certification issues, has caused critics to believe
    it was for publicity.

No, unintentionally: Anurag’s supporters, like @SenBaijnath, say that his comment
was in response to trolls, not a planned move. His apology, in which he admitted
to having deviated from the issue, supports this perspective. Still, supporters believe
    that his language was provocative.

Analyst’s opinion: Dr. Shalini Verma says, ‘Anurag has a habit of being in
controversies, but this time he miscalculated. Playing with ethnic sentiments in India
    is like playing with fire.

‘Anurag Kashyap has a long-standing relationship with controversies.

Me Too allegations (2020): Payal Ghosh accused Anurag of sexual harassment,
leading to a public controversy. Anurag dismissed the allegations, but it damaged
his image. Tandav controversy (2021): His shelved project Maximum City was
linked to the Tandav controversy, which accused it of hurting Hindu sentiments.

    Comments on Bollywood and Politics
Anurag called Bollywood ‘toxic’ and opposed the ban on The Kerala Story, labeling
it propaganda. Such statements always create polarization. Previously, during the
caste controversy: In 2020, Anurag was accused of making anti-Hindu comments in
posts on X, such as calling Yogi Adityanath ‘militant’ and Hindus ‘terrorists’. These
claims are unverified, but they reflect his provocative image.

Positive feedback: Some netizens praised their accountability. An Instagram user
wrote, ‘Apologizing like this shows your greatness.’ Another wrote, ‘The courage of
self-reflection is commendable.’ Skeptical opinions: Users like @AnmolAShukla
called the apology ‘damage control,’ stating that ‘the damage has already been
done.’ Anil Chaturvedi said, ‘This apology is just a formality to avoid legal trouble.’

Mixed emotions: @ShivBHU wrote on X, “Anurag’s intention was right, but the
language was unethical. If such comments become common, then ethnic tensions
    will increase.”

Political Reactions : Priyanka Chaturvedi, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP: “It has now
become a fashion for some people to insult the Brahmin community. Anurag
Kashyap’s worthless statement has hurt the sentiments of a community. Freedom of
speech does not mean freedom to insult.”

Satish Chandra Dubey, Union Minister: “Anurag Kashyap is a foul person who
spews venom under the guise of art. His dirty remarks about Brahmins are an
insult to Indian culture. He should face legal punishment.” Tejashwi Yadav, RJD
leader (fictional, based on the opposition’s stance): “Anurag’s words were wrong,
but why this anger is selective? Where is this outrage when some people spread
    communal poison?”

    Film Industry and Public Figures

Manoj Muntashir, Lyricist: “Anurag Kashyap, your income and knowledge are both limited. If you lack the courage to justify your words, then hold your tongue. The end of hate-mongers like you will happen before the pride of Brahmins.”Payal Ghosh, Actress: “Anurag Kashyap is a disgusting
person. How can one expect respect for a community from someone who forced
himself on a woman? Bollywood and society should boycott him.”

Gehana Vasisth, actress: “Their comment is not only offensive but also a plot to
defame Brahmins. Legal action is necessary to stop such habitual criminals.”
Unnamed film industry personality (fictional, reflecting the mood of the industry):
“Anurag has always been provocative, but this time he has crossed the line.
Offending the entire community does not end with an apology.” Social media and
public opinion @AnmolAShukla on X: “Anurag Kashyap’s filthy thinking is now in
the open. His venom against one community is dangerous. If legal action is not
taken, his poisonous ideology will spread in society.”
