Civil Defence Drills Nationwide
The Union Home Ministry has directed all states to conduct civil defence drills on May 7, 2025, citing “new and complex threats” amid rising tensions. Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan reviewed preparations, focusing on air-raid sirens, civilian training for hostile attacks, and restoring bunkers and trenches, to bolster readiness across 244 sensitive districts.
Escalating Cross-Border Tensions
