A heartwarming moment between Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri stole the show as Royal Challengers Bengaluru clinched their maiden IPL title in a thrilling final.

Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ended their 17-year wait for an IPL title on June 3, 2025, defeating Punjab Kings by six runs in a nail-biting IPL 2025 final. Virat Kohli, the heartbeat of RCB, was at the center of the celebrations, his emotions spilling over as he raced toward former India coach Ravi Shastri, jumping into his arms in a viral, joyous embrace.

    RCB’s Long-Awaited Glory
RCB posted 190/9, anchored by Kohli’s steady 43 off 35 balls, setting a challenging target. Punjab Kings fought back, with Shashank Singh’s late 22-run blitz off Josh Hazlewood in the final over, but fell short at 184/7. The victory marked RCB’s first IPL title after three previous final losses, fulfilling a dream for Kohli, who has been with the franchise since 2008.
