New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced an 18-member squad for the upcoming five-Test series against England, starting June 20, 2025, as part of the 2025-27 World Test Championship. With stalwarts Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravichandran Ashwin retired, a youthful Team India, led by new captain Shubman Gill, is set to face the English challenge.

Shubman Gill, confirmed as captain by BCCI secretary Jay Shah, will lead a revamped side, with Rishabh Pant as vice-captain and wicketkeeper.
