A Milestone in Urban Development
NEW DELHI: The Noida Authority has successfully reclaimed 950,000 square meters of encroached land valued at ₹970 crore in the 2024-25 financial year. Announced during the authority’s 49th foundation day, this achievement underscores Noida’s commitment to planned development and efficient land use.
Strategic Anti-Encroachment Drives
Under the leadership of CEO Lokesh M, the land department conducted targeted operations to identify and liberate government land across villages and sectors. These efforts have paved the way for new residential, commercial, and industrial projects, enhancing Noida’s urban landscape.
Addressing Farmers’ Concerns
In a parallel initiative, the authority surveyed 55 villages to resolve residential land disputes, successfully settling 377 cases in 15 villages by January 2025. This proactive approach aims to foster trust and cooperation with local farmers, ensuring equitable development.
Noida’s Evolution as a Model City
Since its inception in 1976, Noida has transformed into a hub for industry, housing, and innovation. Lokesh M highlighted the authority’s dual role as a development and municipal body, delivering top-tier services while preparing for a grand 50th anniversary celebration in 2026.
Digital Innovation and Civic Services
The authority has introduced digital platforms and new schemes to streamline civic and property-related services, benefiting homebuyers, allottees, and businesses. These measures reflect Noida’s vision to remain a leader in sustainable urban growth.
