All-Party Meeting Convened Amid Tensions
New Delhi: Amid escalating tensions with Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called an all-party meeting on Thursday. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi attended the meeting. On Wednesday, the Indian armed forces conducted airstrikes on nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Just before the meeting began, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval arrived at PM Modi’s residence to discuss critical matters. It is believed that the Modi government is preparing for a significant offensive against terrorism.
Plans for Further Airstrikes
According to media reports citing sources, the Modi government and the Indian military are planning additional airstrikes. The recent operation targeted nine terrorist bases, but there are indications that the Indian forces may strike other hideouts as well. To dismantle terrorist networks in Kashmir, it is deemed essential to destroy their bases near the border in Pakistan. These actions aim to uproot terrorism from the region and send a strong message to those orchestrating attacks from across the border.
