SHRINAGAR: On Wednesday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police released sketches of the terrorists responsible for the recent attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in the deaths of 26 people, predominantly tourists. Based on survivor accounts, the police identified four individuals involved in the assault, with two being Pakistani infiltrators and two local Kashmir residents suspected of providing assistance.

- Ali Talha: According to reports, Ali Talha has been operational in the Kashmir Valley for nearly two years. He is believed to have entered after Musa and was active in the Dachigam forests near Srinagar.
Adil Thoker: The Local Connection

Adil Thoker, a resident of Anantnag, reportedly crossed into Pakistan in 2018 and returned to Jammu and Kashmir last year. Police suspect he served as a local guide for the well-trained Pakistani terrorists, aiding their movements and operations.

Security agencies are actively investigating, tracing connections through overground workers of LeT who have facilitated Pakistani terroristsā travel into Kashmir over the past year. Investigators are also analyzing cyberspace for encrypted communications linked to LeT and its proxy, The Resistance Front (TRF), targeting non-locals. Over 2,000 individuals, including former militants and overground workers, have been detained, with many released after initial questioning. A reward of ā¹20 lakh has been offered for information leading to the terroristsā capture.
Meanwhile, a high-level meeting of top officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Intelligence Bureau, and other central agencies took place in Delhi on Thursday to strategize on curbing infiltration, enhancing border security, and dismantling terror support networks.
