First Image Surfaces of Pahalgam Attack Gunman Holding Rifle, Believed to Be Behind Killing of 27 Hindus

After the deadly Pahalgam terror strike, PM Modi cuts short Saudi visit and returns to India; one terrorist’s image from the scene emerges.

Pahalgam Terror Attack – The recent terrorist assault in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam region has sent shockwaves across India. In a horrifying attack that claimed the lives of 27 innocent Hindus and left at least 20 others injured, the nation is reeling with grief, fury, and demands for accountability.

As the entire country mourns, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has cut short his diplomatic visit to Saudi Arabia and returned home to personally oversee the response to the incident and review national security protocols.

Amid this tragic development, a photograph of one of the terrorists involved in the attack has emerged. The image, reportedly captured at the scene of the carnage, shows the attacker wielding an assault rifle. His face, however, remains obscured, either deliberately covered or blurred in the available visuals.

Preliminary reports suggest that the terrorist belongs to a radical Islamist group that has already claimed responsibility for the attack. Authorities believe this could be part of a broader cross-border agenda to destabilize India ahead of the upcoming Bihar elections.

Security agencies including the National Investigation Agency (NIA), the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), and the local Jammu and Kashmir Police are jointly probing the incident. The Border Security Force (BSF) and Indian Army have also been placed on high alert across the region.

While intelligence agencies attempt to confirm the identities and affiliations of all assailants involved, the release of this image is seen as a key development. Investigators are reportedly using facial recognition software and voice pattern analysis to narrow down suspects from their records.

The incident has reignited debates around national security failures, the role of foreign-sponsored terrorism, and India’s response mechanism. There are mounting calls on social media and from public figures demanding strong retaliatory action against Pakistan-based terror networks.

As the nation grieves, questions remain: Who is ultimately accountable? Were there intelligence lapses? And most pressing—will justice be delivered, swiftly and decisively?
