New Delhi: In response to Pakistan’s failed attempts to strike Indian territory with drones and missiles on the night of May 8, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a high-level meeting with top defense officials to assess national security. The meeting, attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and service chiefs, focused on India’s operational preparedness and inter-ministerial coordination. The Defence Ministry emphasized that India remains “fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and ensure the safety of its people,” following the successful neutralization of Pakistani attacks by India’s air defense systems.

Pakistan’s Failed Aggression: Pakistan launched multiple drone and missile attacks targeting civilian and military sites in northern and western India, including areas near Srinagar, Jammu, and Punjab. India’s S-400 air defense systems and integrated counter-UAS grid effectively intercepted these threats, preventing any significant damage. The Indian Army reported explosions near key installations like Srinagar International Airport and Awantipora airbase, marking the first drone incursions in Kashmir since May 7. Colonel Sofia Qureshi, during a briefing, condemned Pakistan’s “blatant attempt to violate India’s sovereignty,” highlighting the use of high-speed missiles and kamikaze drones.

India’s Robust Response: Under Operation Sindoor, India conducted precision strikes on Pakistani airbases, including Noor Khan, Murid, and Rafiqui, causing significant damage to military infrastructure. These actions followed Pakistan’s escalation after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 civilians. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri clarified that India’s response was measured, targeting terror camps and military assets without breaching Pakistan’s airspace. The operation, named by PM Modi to honor the widows of Pahalgam, showcased tri-service coordination and advanced weaponry like Rafale jets and SCALP missiles.

Strengthening National Security: PM Modi’s meeting underscored the need for heightened vigilance and robust civil defense measures. The Prime Minister directed ministries to secure critical infrastructure and coordinate with state governments. Mock drills were conducted nationwide, and airports in northern India, including Jammu and Srinagar, were temporarily closed. The government also debunked Pakistan’s false claims of destroying India’s S-400 system, with Misri urging citizens to ignore misinformation. India’s actions have garnered bipartisan support, with leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Sharad Pawar praising the armed forces’ precision and resolve.

India’s decisive response to Pakistan’s aggression has reinforced its commitment to national security. With PM Modi at the helm, the nation stands united, ready to counter any threat while pursuing de-escalation if Pakistan reciprocates.

New Delhi: Pakistan, with malicious intent, launched a cowardly attack on India under the cover of darkness, targeting innocent civilians and infrastructure in cities like Pathankot, Udhampur, Srinagar, Pokhran, and others. The Pakistani military used drones, long-range weapons, and fighter jets to strike military bases, schools, and hospitals. India’s robust air defense system neutralized missiles and drones mid-air, rendering Pakistan’s efforts futile. In a decisive response, India conducted Operation Sindoor, obliterating Pakistan’s Rahim Yar Khan and Chaklala airbases, along with their defense systems. The Indian Armed Forces, led by Colonel Sofia Qureshi, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, provided a detailed briefing on the operation.

Pakistan’s False Claims Exposed: Pakistan falsely claimed to have destroyed India’s S-400 defense system and damaged airfields in Surat and Sirsa, claims India categorically rejected. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri condemned Pakistan’s provocative actions, emphasizing India’s responsible retaliation. Colonel Sofia Qureshi revealed Pakistan’s relentless attacks on western borders using drones, long-range weapons, and loitering munitions. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh noted Pakistan’s troop movements toward forward areas, signaling intent to escalate tensions. India’s armed forces, fully prepared, have countered every attack effectively, exposing Pakistan’s propaganda and maintaining operational superiority.

Targeting Civilians and Infrastructure: Pakistan attempted to strike 26 locations, including civilian infrastructure like schools and hospitals in Srinagar, Avantipur, and Udhampur, showcasing their unprofessional and irresponsible tactics. Colonel Sofia Qureshi highlighted how India neutralized multiple threats, though Pakistan managed minor damage to equipment and personnel at airbases in Udhampur, Bhuj, and Pathankot. At 1:40 AM, Pakistan fired high-speed missiles targeting Punjab’s airbase. India’s swift response ensured minimal damage, but the attack on civilian facilities underscored Pakistan’s disregard for international norms.

India’s Decisive Retaliation: In retaliation, India targeted Pakistan’s military installations, including radar sites, command centers, and weapon depots in Rafiqi, Murid, Chaklala, and Sialkot, using precision munitions and fighter jets. Colonel Sofia Qureshi emphasized that India ensured minimal collateral damage during these strikes. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s shelling in Rajouri killed Additional District Development Commissioner Raj Kumar Thapa and injured several others. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh reiterated India’s commitment to de-escalation, provided Pakistan reciprocates, while affirming readiness to counter any aggression.

Three Pakistani airbases destroyed, Pakistan admitted: Pakistan admitted that India has destroyed three of its airbases. Nur Khan Air Base, Rawalpindi 2. PAF Rafiqui Air Base, Shorkot 3. PAF Murid Air Base, Chakwal. Indian Army also destroyed the foreign army post and its nearby launch pads along the Jammu sector border. Indian Army carried out this attack by intercepting Pakistan’s missile- Fateh- in CIA. After shooting and shooting down Pakistan, it destroyed the missile to attack Delhi.

India’s resolute defense and precise retaliation have sent a clear message to Pakistan: any aggression will be met with overwhelming force. The nation stands united, ready to protect its sovereignty and ensure peace, despite Pakistan’s provocative actions.
